PROJECT ONISPEED GT-R32: Unleashing the power of Godzilla! .JDM Speed Shop (Japan) is our official vehicle sponsor . Our project build up for our GTR-32 has come to an end after some very promising results. Our loyalities have shifted to a very rare N1 GTR-32 that we acquired. The project ended on a high note with a win of 2nd place at Importfest 2006. The performance upgrades were phenomenal. HKS2530's are one best upgrades money can buy. However it is essential that the complimentary components are purchased to go with the turbos. Air, fuel, spark, cooling, clutch, transmission need to be upgraded to support the power that is created and make a reliable GTR. Last but most importantly, tuning is the technical sorcery that makes it all come together. If you do the upgrades with quality components, a good GTR, and proper tune, your GTR will be a force to be reckoned with and one that leaves you with a permanent smile. Here's what we had to start with... Year: 1991 Model: Nissan GT-R32 Mileage: 119,000 kms Original Parts List: Black 17" Nismo LMGT4 Rims, Trust Exhaust, M's intakes, HKS piping; Seibon suspension, Veilside front lip. Front mount oil cooler. Steel braided oil lines, Samco Radiator Hoses, HKS SSQBV's, NGK Irridiums. Original Dyno Stats: 292.1 WHP @ 6899 RPM/ 122.3 MPH 0.705 reaction time 60' 1.570486 1/4 mile - 13.47403 What we've discovered so far... a stock GTR is a GREAT car; start with a good base platform and it will only get better. The stock clutch cannot hold the power the RB engine will produce. [b]Parts to install:[/b] Dary from JDMSPEEDSHOP was able to snag us a great set of HKS 2530's on Yahoo Japan with only 8K on them. We just got them today; can't wait to install them! Parts to Install: Power FC with Boost Controller, Greddy Oil Relocation kit; Greddy Air Diversion Plate, Defi BF gauges, Greddy A-Pillar 3 guage pod. Greddy Oil Catch can (essential to prevent oil sludge buildup in your engine.) Current Parts List:
Old Garrett Turbos removed... turns out they were not on very tight! This engine is in serious need of a makeover! One of the almost new turbos... It came with the aftermarket downpipes and HKS actuators! Good for 300 HP and has a sweet spot of 1.5 bar! Old stock turbos... RIP Turbos Installed! Another pic of the turbos Installed! New NGK Irridium Plugs and Coil Packs installed... The turbos were installed; higher flowing Z32 MAFS installed; connected to Apexi Twin Intakes.
Tomei fuel pressure regulator and Tomei fuel pump was added to up fuel pressure until we replace the stock injectors and rail. [] A Greddy Oil relocation kit was added; it comes with oil pressure and oil temp sensors to used by our Defi BF gauges. Apexi Power FC Boost Controller added too...
New High Flow Tomei Fuel Pump on the left; the old one on the right... Engine starting to come together...
NISMO Twin Plate Clutch Installed. This clutch will be more than enough to handle our expected HP numbers. It is a sprung clutch with very easy clutch feel and does not have clutch chatter typical with other brands.
Defi BF Gauges Installed: Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Boost and Water Temp... Need EGT & A/F gauge next...

ONI has been fired up over the weekend. We are testing and tuning but the initial tests are very promising. This will be a VERY quick GTR!
